Toast [MOVIE]

Based on the autobiography by Nigel Slater; as a young boy, Nigel lives with his father and mother who both cannot cook well (to say the least). When his mother becomes deathly ill, he is forced to move to a secluded house hours away with his father and their "cleaner," Mrs. Potter (Helena Bonham Carter).

This film focuses on Nigel's tribulations through his childhood and adolescent years while he strives to cook despite being teased by his classmates for taking up cooking instead of woodworking.

Enjoyably, the real Nigel Slater makes a cameo appearance during the ending.

It was a very good movie. The only drawback I saw, was that I would have loved more cooking scenes, as I love to cook. (And eat!) 
It's a wonderful coming of age story that I enjoyed thoroughly! Watch it!
